More customers discover Plasticum’s new membrane closure

back to news

Earlier this year, Plasticum launched a new self-closing membrane closure with a patented technique. The market response was overwhelming and many food manufacturers showed their interest. Pauwels, a Belgian supplier of sauces for the Private Label market, also adopted Plasticum’s multi-purpose concept for their top-down bottles.

A fully controlled dispense, optimised functionality and a cost-effective price level are the typical requirements to meet the demand for today’s dispensing closures. Plasticum succeeded to combine all these advantages in one multi-purpose concept. The proprietary silicon valve solution offers a clean dispense of e.g. sauces, honey, oil, dressing, lotions or creams. No drips. No mess. No clogging. An ever clean orifice is guaranteed.

Consumers – adults ánd children – experience full control when dispensing the sauces, also at the first dosing. The valve can be activated easily by squeezing the bottle. As the membrane opens gradually whilst increasing the pressure, the user has optimum dispensing control to ensure an accurate dosing. As soon as the pressure is released, the orifice is closed off immediately.

Pauwels, a Belgian sauce supplier for the French and Belgian Private Label market, recently replaced the existing closures on their standard bottles. Also Personal Care manufacturers are interested in Plasticum’s valve solution for the dispense of cream, lotion or gel.

The membrane closure consists only of two parts which are assembled to each other with a newly developed ultrasonic staking technique. Using this technique enables Plasticum to bring a cost effective valve solution to the market combined with improved functionality.

The dispensing closures are produced in accordance with the most stringent quality regulations at the HACCP approved factory of Plasticum Ede in The Netherlands.
