Plasticum Group announces that Otwin Günther (38) has been appointed as Operations Director. Per 01 February 2009 Otwin will be responsible for the operations of three Plasticum facilities: Norwich, Ilkenhans and Tilburg. This position is a newly created position within Plasticum. The Operations Director will create optimum synergy throughout the cap producing plants. Otwin and his team will implement the Operations Excellence strategy of Plasticum Group, with a strong focus on quality and costs.
Otwin has a compelling track record in lean manufacturing. Prior to joining Plasticum Tilburg in July 2008, Otwin was employed as Plant Manager at Thomas & Betts. In this role he significantly increased the delivery performance of the plant and implemented a continuous improvement culture in the factory. Otwin holds a degree in mechanical engineering and polymer engineering from the University of Eindhoven and has been active most of his working life in the plastics industry. We are convinced that Otwin’s experience will bring Plasticum’s operations to the next level.
